One idea that might sound a bit bonkers again but someone out there might like it.

Re-number all the episodes in the saga so ANH is Episode 1.

Start the new Episode III with Luke finishing his training on Dagobah and Yoda dying but confirming to Luke that Vader was his father and then kick off the new improved PT withTPM through to an improved ROTS and then have Episode VI be a new improved ROTJ minus the Yoda scene.

It's a variation on Doubleofive's suggested viewing experience but with the order built into the edit.

Instead of seeing Vader and Palpatine viewing the construction of Death Star 1 they could instead be arriving to land on the Death Star 2 leading into ROTJ.
