That's pretty much what defensive statements such as this:
"I simply have my opinions that are entirely subjective, as you do yours. Your opinion is in no way objective or absolute for anyone other than yourself and those who share your point of view."
... amount to. Not a direct request to quit challenging your opinions, but a clear attempt to shieled its "validity" or "right to exist" from said challenges under the guise of "subjectivity".
These reasons are subjective and any counter arguments appear to be equally valid and subjective.
No, they're MORE valid, because yours have contradictions in them.
You should really let go of your "every opinion and argument is equally valid" delusion, mate.
I never made arguments. I made subjective statements of opinions.
One doesn't exclude the other, and every item on your list is actually an argument.
Whatever way you wanna treat it, it doesn't help that both Luke and Anakin blindly accept a "point of view" cop-out and in Anakin's case, it's objectively more absurd and stupid on his part to do so, and yet you cite it as an argument for VI being worse then III.
That doesn't look like "subjective opinion" to me, like "oh, I kinda enjoy it in ROTS, but don't like it in ROTJ", it looks like you've found this flaw in one movie, then forgot that it was also in another movie, and made the absurd conclusion that it somehow makes one of those movies worse than the other.
It's not subjective opinion, it's fallacious thinking.
Unfortunately, that simply is not true and we arrive at an impasse.
Judgment derived from fallacious arguments =(equivalent to)= wrong.
So yes, it is true.
I'm willing to say that the world can have all kinds of opinions, and you seem to believe yours are better than everyone else's and you are right.
Please quote me on saying something as insipid as that.
You have failed to make a good actual argument or "win" because there was nothing to win.
Actually there is, because you make clear fallacies and I point them out with no defense on your part.
Honestly, you just seem like a frustrated high school debate drop out.
No, that's what you seem like, because you seem to be very insecure about your opinions being challenged or called unlogical. In my frustrated high school debate drop out theory, you probably know you couldn't pull this trick in debate class, so you're trying it here.
Well, you won't get your warm'n'fuzzy "yes, yes, nothing you say is illogical, it's all subjective and equally valid" bubble with me.
You are out to win an "argument" that exists solely in your imagination.
Wow, first "your opinion man" defenses, now fortune cookie pseudo-wisdoms. What else are you willing to do just to avoid responding to any of our challenges, and why not just ignore them if you don't feel like discussing?
There clearly seems to be an urge to protect your ego that apparently couldn't bear the realization that you may, indeed, *gasp*, have said something illogical without realizing it, as all of us can do and do all the time.
Well, I suggest you drop this silly dance&prance session, and do one of the following things:
1) engage in discussion on some objection or comment made by any of us on any of your points; you probably can't tackle all, so ignore the rest.
2) ignore it altogether; you've stated your opinions, are unwilling to revise them, let it go.
I'm not responding to any more of this bullcrap - anything but yet another pseudo-philosophical internet fight about opinion, logic and facts.
PS: If no other minds apart from mine exist, then you must be the part of my mind that tells me it's all an illusion.
