xhonzi, what about Dark Times? I enjoyed Legacy but felt it was a little weighed down with all the Hutt talk and Yuzhan Vong stuff. Dark Times on the other hand I can't find a single flaw with other than the stupid Vector storyline that muddied up all comics at the time. To me, Doug and Randy are the perfect combo of art and story.

I read the first six issues of Dark Times and the Vector crossover.  I can't say I was impressed.

Remember where I'm coming from: I frinkin' hate the prequels.  To the degree that something reminds me of the prequels, I just can't stand it.  I can't recall anything I got from Dark Times (apart from the general setting) that gave me that vibe, I just remeber that vibe.  I guess if you made a case that I need to look into it again...

Legacy is certainly not without its faults.  You picked on at least one of them- I found the huttese slang to be ~okay~ and it reminded me a lot of firefly... But I did roll my eyes to it from time to time.  I also felt that Legacy was always setting up and seldom paying off... and then it ended... but I enjoyed the ride while it was there.

The Vong- I never read the EU books dealing with the Vong, though I knew of them.  Had I read and hated those books, I might feel more toward the Vong the way I feel toward PTisms... but I don't, so it doesn't really bother me.

I just felt that Legacy did a good job of taking a lot of OT concepts, mixing them up, and dumping them out in a way that felt both original and familiar.
