a reshoot of that single shot is going to be way easier than fixing lightsabers.

The lightsabers are embeded in the very first layer of the prints that they are working with. Shadows and reflections have been added, and anywhere there is a larger-than average lightsaber shot, all of the picture data behind it has been lost, meaning that a LOT has to be restored, fixed, and reinserted. Plus, you have to do that with high speed sequences where each frame is different from the last.

This is a single shot of an arm... and considering that lightsabers, while being a bit off color and shape, continue to act in a manner expected of lightsabers... I personally feel that the continuity issue with a bleeding arm is the larger, and easier to fix, issue.

Sorry if that came out a bit strong... for some reason, my marathon of the blurays has stuttered ever since seeing that shot...
