A restoration only makes sense if people actually care about the object and if it will be available to them and the future generations. The entire point of a preservation is to actually see or experience the object as it it was meant to be seen. Not just photos or descriptions, but the real thing. Thats why paintings, sculptures, buildings etc. are restored. If a movie is restored to its original form but nobody can watch it this defeats the entire purpose of the restoration.

Would you restore a painting to its former glory if it will just be hidden in a storage closet and never be shown in a museum?

 

Very well said, and I wholeheartedly agree with you, what a waste, but please keep telling us all here what you have, and what you have done, we will believe you, even though no one will ever see it LMAO!

Also, how is it bragging Troy if there is no proof?
