i just enjoyed the escape sequence. There never needed to be anything special about it. Besides, everyone knows the Storm Troopers are gonna die.

The Stormtroopers inaccuracy never bothered me too much since I knew, even as a child that they had to miss simply because they were the bad guys and the good ones would win and wouldn't get shot by some random Stormtrooper.

--- Same with the escape pod in IV. Had they shot it, the movie would have ended right there...not good LOL. Was it Family Guy that commented on that? Charging by the laser or something to that extent. ---

I just accepted it as part of the whole fantasy. Now, if it were to be changed, I think it would also have to be changed in ANH and ROTJ. It's good that at least one of them got Leia on Endor, but shouldn't they kill more Ewoks by direct blaster fire? Not just run around like headless chickens and let the AT-STs do all the job? Were they really that useless? They were weren't they? heh

ANH is a major problem here because there is no one to aim at except for the main characters, so that one can't be changed. Pretty much the same with ESB unfortunately. Had Lobot or coffe maker guy or whoever been running along with Lando Leia, the carpet and robots then they would be a good kill during the escape.

Since something like that can't be done, I would leave it as is.

I can stand by 005 here, he's a good and helpful guy and as he said, we do take turns in doing stuff if needs be.

Well sure the Stormies could have fired better, but alas they have to wear that helmet of theirs, not easy to be accurate in that I must say...I have tried one and well..it's not that easy.

Sure if they have buildt in help like targeting sensors, heat cam, target tracking and so forth I can see them hitting more often, but on the other side see how very effective they are against non hero types: Lars and Owen Beru, Jawas and The rebels in Tantive VI

But than again we also have angry teddybears....hmm..I am confused :P

I never noticed that thing with Chewie in ROTJ either, and I'm a pretty picky guy. Cool...

The stormies in ANH do get a lot of hits at the beginning of the film, and I think we in some way respect them for that. But as for ESB, I don't think a single stormtrooper hit a single target... and that pretty much sucks. That's why I suggested, along with this change, that we have snowtroopers on Hoth take out a few rebels after Vader lands, in close-quarters style combat.

BTW great job on the Roque 3 change. Never noticed that either.

surely the stormtroopers in the last fifteen minutes of ESB are not shooting to kill anyway?  how much trouble would one of them have been in if they'd accidentally cut the princess in two?       -lots-

and further in their defence, the one that made threepio explode was pretty accurate earlier on in the film..
