It's great. It should be featured in a DVD-ROM feature in the extra material disc on the SW DVD box...

What to know what else is on that disk, though??
The original Star Wars arcade game in all its line-art beauty.

I love that game. Still not enough, though.

What is up with LucasArts' aversion to the PS2? There are a few games, but nothing spectacular. One of the only games we PS2 owners have been stuck with is Super Bombad Racing, and the title and cover art alone are enough to merit its chucking. XBox owners have gotten their GTA III and Vice City; I think the PS2 crowd should get KOTOR. It's definitely one of the best Star Wars games, and I think gameplay would be a lot better on a console than a PC.

Actually I hear Super Bombad Racing wasn't that bad. But.. yeah.. the Gungan motif could get to ya'

Wow. I never really thought of it, but the PS2 does really have a dearth of good Starwars Games. Then again, so does the GBA.

Actually, I don't think it was the Gungan motif as much as the little cartoon Yoda and Darth Maul on the cover. I didn't even think about the GBA, but you're right. I wonder who makes the decisions on which consoles the Star Wars games are released on?

Probably the individual developers. Lucasarts arent talented enough to make the starwars games by themselves, so each developer gets its own two dactaries to which consoles the games go.

Like Factor5 had an exclusive deal with Nintendo, and I think Microsoft owns part of BioWare. Or maybe there is just an exclusivity deal.

Knights of the Old Republic would be a definite must-buy if they released it for the PS2 (and the sequel). I played it on the PC a few months ago, and will probably end up buying it this summer for myself just so I can play it again. But I'm having this fear that the specs for KOTOR 2 will be too great for my system. I'm just crossing my fingers at this point.

Not likely. From what I've seen, KoToR2's graphic engine isn't much better than the original. Sort of dissapointing, but at least you should be able to run it, right?

Right. I'm not overly picky about my graphics, and I felt the graphics were actually pretty decent on the first KOTOR in the first place. So all I ask for is the ability to play the game.

Yes they were, especially on Dantoonie--the point I'm making, though, is KoToR 2 likely won't tax your PC very much.

And if it comes out for a console you own it's a moot point anyway.

Who else wants a decent sequel to Masters of Teras Kasi (PSX)? I'm thinking a Soul Calibur 2 hybrid made by Team Ninja and LucasArts (of course)...

And when the heck are we getting more X-Wing/Tie Fighter games!!! I'm not going to get Star Wars: Galaxies just for that new expansion!

I need to get a decent avatar/picture/whatever. If anyone with a decent photo program could hook me up with a picture of Eliza Dushku wielding a lightsaber, I'd be ever grateful.

I haven't played Masters, but I would love to sit down with it sometime. It sounded like it would be a fun game.

As for the avatars, I think we all have avatars we would rather use over the ones we have. The upload avatar function apparently doesn't work, because I couldn't get it to work and I've also read other threads where people have had problems.

I was supposed to send my avatar to Jay, I've kinda forgot. I'll be changing mine real soon. I'm just trying to choose between 2 different ones, don't know which one to pick...

So, Jay doesn't mind if we send him our own avatar for us to use? I'm going to have to do that.

I heard that it was actually pretty decent. I want to play it, but I'm still wading my way through Jedi Outcast (damned jumping puzzles...).

I'll have to get it off a friend on campus when class starts again in the fall. I should be done with Outcast by then (or at least I hope).
