I'm a huge fan of Kubrick's work, having seen most of it. While some movies have more "commercial" flavor to it (Spartacus, Full Metal Jacket, Shining), others may not appeal to everyone (2001, Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut). 2001 and Clockwork Orange are 2 of my 3 favorite films of all time (Fight Club being the other one), and absolute masterpieces. Dr. Strangelove comes right behind, as an excelent anti-war anti-nuke movie, with my second Peter Sellers acting (my favorite is The Party). Paths of Glory is quite interesting. I did not like Spartacus, maybe because Kubrick had limited influence over the script and direction (he was hired for the job).
