Sorry, I must have overlooked your previous post as you probably posted it while I was typing mine.

I am a bit pissed off about people posting these without my permission, not just out of principle but the distribution was nicely contained within two sites and now it's beyond my control. I even saw the Uloz.To links reposted on some other site, so I took them down and only kept the MU ones.

Yeah I totally feel that, the loss of control and lack of common courtesy.

Meanwhile outside of the bubble of this site you have completely clueless know-it-alls like this douche, who said of your set:

"wow another amateur hour cut featuring footages taken from different shithouse pirate versions, at different bitrates, resolution and whastnot!   EXCITINGGGGg"

It's impossible to combat all the naysayers at these places

I'm sorry your work has spread beyond what you would have liked, Harmy...

ANOTHER EDIT: I meant to post this yesterday...

These cover are great, Harmy!

EDIT: I just saw that someone posted this same thing earlier, and that there may not be an answer to be had. I'm dying to watch these, though, so maybe someone can help!

I'm having an issue burning two of these. I had no issue with the ISO for RotJ, works on everything I have to play it on (LG Blu-Ray Player, PS3.) However, for both ANH and ESB I had to create the ISO's myself. Neither of those work on my PS3 and I have no idea what I've done wrong. I'm on a Mac and I have Toast and Disk Utility.

Could someone point me on the right direction? Thanks all!

Wow. This is brilliant. I mean I've seen them here before but not actual photos. Makes me wanna make them myself. Anyone know the best way?

Yeah, I used my school e-mail, so that worked but I've been waiting for hours to get the right to post.

I just wanted to thank you, Harmy. I've been watching your Despecialized Editions for the last couple of days, and they are amazing.  I, like most others, am very disappointed that GL won't give us what we want, but until he does, these will do NICELY! I just got finished looking through the list of changes that you made, and just had to stop in and give thanks for all your efforts. It is much appreciated.

I just would like to thank you for the effort and the great job you did on Despecializing. The documentation of the single edited shots is jaw-dropping!

I printed these with a Canon inkjet printer on Kodak semi-gloss photo paper. Great result!

It's the photo. I take photos on my iPhone and I chose the HDR version which tends to be too light for my tastes, so I treated it a little bit. The covers are spectacular, Harmy!

With the upcoming 1.2 and ESB 2.0 versions, will there be any way to verify version numbers?

I suppose one way would be to just look for the visual changes between versions, but for that you'd need some sort of changelog (not necessarily comprehensive).

This could be a problem when the 1.2 AVCHD comes out, but the 1.2 DVD5 isn't yet out.

This is another reason I'll only download from the official sites.

I just discovered these threads the other day and I have all 3 despecialized versions. I wanted to thank Harmy in particular, but also everyone involved--from the Hairy Hen and his 5.1 mix, to Dark Jedi & Adywan and others whose sources were used for these, and every person who went over Harmy's workprints to ensure that we got the best restoration possible.

The other night I was able to sit down in front of my 50" Plasma and enjoy Star Wars more than I have in years. I can't decide if I want to move on to Empire (I might pass out at "bring my shuttle") or watch Star Wars over again. I feel like the kid who saw ROTJ 12 times in the theater again!

Again, I understand that a great deal of work went in to these and I really appreciate it.  And I love Yub Nub!

Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to make working ISO's for ANH and ESB?

I'm in the same boat and I think I'm going to end up buying software to get this done; either Toast or RevolverHD.  I did find a thread that talks about how to use UDF 2.50 with the Mac disk utility (OSX 10.5+), but it's a bit too technical for me.

Had to come here and post some kudos.

Just got the DVD versions up and going last night and took a couple sneak peeks.  Harmy, I've got to say that your work is exceptional.

I only got to see the movies in 4:3 VHS back during the 80's.  I've never in my life seen the movies as they were meant to be seen in their original theatrical aspect ratio without the craptastic CGI.  Thank you!

So Harmy you sassy salamander, this v1.2 is the only thing left to release, right? Jedi and Empire aren't needing of 1.2's are they (they seemed perfect when I watched them but just thought I'd double check)?

Does anyone ever take this covers to print out at Kinkos? I thought you weren't allowed to print out anything but original, non-copyright material. My home printer sucks too much to make anything decent.

I hope  at some point in the future he does a V2 of Empire. The is a shadow that needs to be removed as the snow speeder inters the base.

A lot of the Hoth battle shots.  I know some of that is just re composites those I am sure are fine. And that shot of the Probe rising from the ice. I personally think just some teaks, nothing major.

Then he may just want to leave it alone.

I've had things printed like this at Kinko's. Other than the odd look here and there, it's not a problem. Although, printing 100 copies my raise an eyebrow or three.

I did.  But I try to be nice about it... their printers can be really slow with such high resolution stuff.  I wait until there's nobody else using the workstations, then I print one at a time, stepping out of the way when someone else comes in wanting to print something.
