Those DC LDs are notorious rotters, but the book alone is worth the price you paid, even if the discs are no good. My book didn't have a slipcover, either. I got a used set, too, so I'm wondering if the books in that set even had slipcovers to begin with?

Noo....NOOOOOOO!! I don't know much about LD deterioration over time. I hope the discs are okay, but I may never even know...

If you run your thumb around the edges of the discs, there should be no perceptible space between the layers. If you feel a separation, that means the glue is deteriorating and you'll probably have some rot on those discs.

Honestly they seem ok to me. Can't detect any spaces. There is a bit of what appears to be small specs of glue on a few disc edges in a trivial number of spots, but the discs do appear to seem in good shape.

Only one way to find out, though!
