Aside from his laughter, he has a really cool, charismatic personality and "smart looks". Whenever talking about Star Wars, even now, he sounds down-to-earth, modest and self-deprecating.
Also gladly admits that he's the "king of wooden dialogue" in public speeches.

I'm not entirely sure which ideas and designs in the prequels were more his and which more by the hired artists, but there are some awfully cool concepts in the prequels, be it some wacky aliens and robots, or the action sequences including the sounds, editing and settings.

If that's what he'd had in his head before production, and got in some form onto the screen - mad propz to him.
Didn't amount to good movies, obviously, but they're movies with "cool stuff" in them.
