When I went to London in 2009, I sadly didn't get the chance to see this museum. We plan on going back when I'm fifteen, so I really want to go see it.
What else did you see at the museum when you visited?
Whoa, perfect job with those sabers!

LOL, those who do not learn from the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them ;-)
No to be too repetitive of the post I made in the ESB thread, but THIS EDIT PWNS THE WORLD!!!!!!!
1st post here. Hi all! Downloaded the Harmy trilogy this weekend and I'm so happy. Thanks man. :)
Especially glad that A New Hope looks the way I remember it from my childhood. Looking forward to version 1.2. Cheers!
Glad you discovered Harmy's wonderful work, Christofer. It's great to be able to watch the films the way they were meant to be seen, isn't it?
To be too word for word repetitive of the post I made in the ESB thread:
Thank you, being able to watch unmolested versions of the films in HD is by itself very rewarding but reading comments like this makes it more than worth all the work I put in :-)
First post here so forgive my stupidity but I'm not seeing a download link for the despecialized edition in the first post - am I blind?
This site does not support piracy, so you can't find any direct links here. You should read the first post though... ;-)

You've said previously that you shouldn't have told us your age. But then you do it again. :p
Finally had a chance to watch this...and it was just as advertised. Thanks to Harmy and the rest of the OT crew (Adywan, Dark Jedi, Moth3r, etc.) for making this happen. This is the best OT presentation I have viewed to date. I haven't seen them all...but I've seen a good amount. I sampled ESB and ROTJ as well...and both look great. I was so happy to see Lapti Nek back once again!
Oh...and the inclusion of the Mono track is super cool. It's like a different movie at times with the original Beru voice and the differences in how lines are delivered at times.
Thanks again!
Best,
Nick

Oh yeah...
Well, most people know anyway, so there's really no point in suppressing it.

Looks nice!
I mentioned earlier that Vader's belt box lamps should not be blue. They should be green as seen in the pre-color corrected versions of the film.
Is this something you can do?
I've been lurking around this site for a while now, but this is my first official post. I gotta say, good work Harmy! I just got the Despecialized Edition today and I never thought I would ever see such a good quality version of the ORIGINAL Star Wars! (I watched it on an old big screen CRT though... everything looks fake somehow to me on an HD screen)
I just wanted to say that you (and everyone else working on these preservation projects) are doing a real service and it's greatly appreciated... Thank you!

Gotta say I'm loving your reconstructions. I've never gotten to see Star Wars in HD before and I'm loving it. I'm blown away by the attention to detail you've got going on with these. Replacing the detention level hallway matte was insane, but seeing as this is kinda an all or nothing thing, I love the fact that you're going into that much detail. I've skimmed through all the parts I can think of that would have major SE stuff in them to see if I can tell, but I'd say they're clean.
My only gripe about anything in these at all is the lightsabers in ANH, mainly Ben's during his fight with Vader. They look great of course, but that's kinda the problem. Your clip you posted goes a ways to fix this by blurring them out and messing with the colors, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to go even more nuts with it and make Ben's all jagged and flickery and cyan and Vader's almost orange like in the GOUT. I'm not sure exactly how it could be done, maybe paste in the separate sabers from the GOUT V3 over top of the frame or just do some after effects wizardry?
Anyway, thanks again for doing these at all. Absolutely loving the V1.0s!

Erm, that's exactly what I did in that clip...
I think it looks fine.

Hi Harmy,
I downloaded your versions of the three movies (as well as DJ's ones) and I enjoyed them very much, even though I have to admit that I could spot the despecialized parts on my computer screen (being hd), sadly knowing exactly where to look :)
I intend to burn them on dvd and profit from the non hd-ness of the final result (I guess the despecialized part will less visible to my ruthless eyes), but I have a question.
Being French, I intend to incorporate optionnal subtitles, not for me because I know the movies by heart, but for the people I might show it to, including my yet unconcieved children :)
Is there an easy way to do it, and will basic oot subtitles fit with your vesions (length wise) ?
