Sure enough. I agree, while the digital model is certainly better than the strange puppet, the animation, lighting, texturing, they all seem to be a bit off. It looks like they didn't have a budget for these new changes, so they did them as fast as possible just to get it done. They honestly look like the effects done for a direct to DVD or TV release, which I guess these technically are...JasonN said:

The shape is more Yodaish but it moves like they aren't paying the animator enough.
That first shot of that video seemed odd to me for some reason, like there was something a little "off" with Yoda in contrast to his later scenes of the video, so I went back and checked my dvd copy of TPM for reference.... and I was right:
They did not alter the original CG Yoda model in that first shot to match the new CG Yoda model of the later scenes. Lucas, you lazy fu........
