Not to beat a dead horse here, but this is where I got my first review of the BD's HD quality and I'm sure most of you have seen it from "the Digital Bits site"...quote"So the next obvious question is, how to the films look in HD based on what we say on Friday morning? The answer is very good indeed. Do they look better than the 2004 DVDs? Absolutely. Do they look better than recent 1080p HD cable and satellite broadcasts? Again, yes - not just for the fixes to problem A/V issues that have been done but also because of the added video and audio data rate afforded by the Blu-ray format, and the fact that each film comes on its own BD-50 disc. And don't forget that Episodes I, II and III should look fantastic simply for having been mastered directly from the digital production files.".
Was this interviewer/writer being true? I have great trust in Harmy,Adywan and many on this site who's opinion is quite different. The interview also goes into the fact of how the fixed the lightsaber dullness's. I can't download the 1080bd's cause they are just too large files. So who's reviews should I acknowledge as being more informative??
Well, let me just say that I used to enjoy reading The Digital Bits quite a lot... until they became Blu-ray fanboys. I now find it hard to trust anything they say, because despite their technical knowledge, I simply no longer believe that they are even remotely objective. I read TDB now mainly for news about new releases, but even there thev've pretty much thrown DVD to the back of the bus in their orgasmic gushing over Blu-ray.
Take that for what it's worth.
