It's always been there AFAIK. It wasn't a good shot to begin with and that's why they hid it with a cut as soon as those pilots get to the other side of the frame.

I actually thought the B Wing pilot was an SE addition for a moment there!

It's curious they didn't just put a blue screen behind the full size Falcon and use it having gone to the trouble of putting it back together for the sandstorm scene. (Not to mention the X and Y Wings.) Even a miniature hangar bay set would have had more depth than this particular painting.
