Just read this on jeditemplearchives.com;

Latest Star Wars Saga DVDs Recalled? No Longer An Opportunity To Buy?

We have learned of a rumor. Please take this with a grain of salt until more in confirmed, but one of our readers has attempted to purchase some of the currently available Star Wars films on DVD. He was informed by a Walmart employee that all have been recalled. I have also not been able to find any in stock at the moment. Have we all missed the boat trying to grab the current versions? Does this mean that forever our beloved films will have Ewoks blinking? Could Lucasfilm, Ltd. be futilely trying to get rid of remaining existing versions of the Star Wars saga? More on this later as the story develops. But let us know if your experiences are different.

Interesting. But this doesn't compute with Lucasfilm reasoning why the DVD Special Features haven't been carried over. They all say, the blu ray boxset is intended as addon, not replacement.

It's a shame that the text commentaries from dvd.starwars.com haven't been carried over to this set. The dvd.starwars.com page is down since 2006. The text commentaries are gone. :(

There were script to screen commentaries for ep 1-5 and depth commentaries for ep1-3 online.

I once saved both commentaries from Ep1 in their original html format. I have posted the Depth C. in 2010 @ a.b.starwars. The html can be used to create dvd/br compatible subtitles. If anyone is interested pm me.
