I'm actually glad I read that blog post. I don't think its funny at all. Seriously, think about it: Lucas must have some reason for adding the NOOO!, believe it or not his goal isn't to rape people's childhoods, its creating his own vision of these movies. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like the change at all or the idea of revisions, but I don't approve of laughing at that post. Lucas had a reason for changing that scene and in all honesty I believe that that post, in trying to figure out why Lucas made the change, probably came up with the actual reason Lucas changed that scene. Hell, that post wasn't even defending him. So really, let's calm down here.
Agreed. I basically let go of Star Wars with the 1997 SE, affirmed with the PT.
I spend my disposable income on stuff that still resonates with me on an emotional level - Star Wars is no longer it.
