That's why you won't convince us to ever love the prequels.

I get the joke, but I have to ask (again) where did you got that idea from? When has he ever tried to convince anyone to love any of his movies?

How about adding stuff from movies I hate into movies I love?
Exactly! This is what upsets me so much about the NO. He's forcing us to remember the prequels in movies made 20 years before they existed.

I've already answered this question previously despite your obstinate refusal to understand a clear, simple point. Other posters (Harmy, 005) have chimed in, too, so I won't repeat myself. Hopefully you can figure it out on your own.

LOL. It's good that the Blu-Ray set is having some negative publicity about the new changes, but I'm surprised LFL hasn't taken any action against the leaked copies...

On that matter, I am very surprised that no one has leaked the deleted scenes nor the TPM with a CGI Yoda. I wonder if LFL is really attempting to keep those ones under guard.

The "original" trilogy blu-ray set still has 3 1/2 stars on Amazon.  Just saying......

Luke threw twice…maybe.

Yeah, most of the people posting one-star reviews are doing so for the complete saga boxset.

In one of their documentaries they had a CG yoda on dagobah (probably for matching the proportions (which they failed), they had him say "you are reckless" lines. No idea why they didnt think to add him in ESB and Jedi as CG. That would be a nice start for the 3D edition dont you think? ;)

I did it for both.

So did I! :-)  Unfortunately, most people seem not to post reviews for both sets, which is a shame.

I never bought anything through Amazon, so it won't let me write reviews :-(

I wish that amazon showed how many people have pre-ordered a set that way we could watch the numbers and get an idea of what is actually going on.

Luke threw twice…maybe.

Really?  You can't open an account and write a review without purchasing?

I wonder how Frank Oz will feel about his performance being erased?

I'm sure a lot of people involved in Phantom Menace would love to have their work erased!

I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that George loved the original puppet and refused to let replace it. Could just be rumors.

How is adding assets to the trilogy an attempt to convince people to love/like the prequels? There is a difference between accepting the prequels as part of the saga, and convince people to love them. That's why I keep asking for a source from your assumtion, because that's what it is.

You don't think Lucas isn't depressed that so many people despise the movies he obviously thinks are perfect representations of what he wants Star Wars to be? I think he's taking it out on the originals that he will never be satisfied with. I'm surprised he's not trying to remake them in his image. The "real 4 5 & 6" that he has complete creative control over...

Actually, if he decided to leave the Original Trilogy alone and release them unaltered in great quality, I'd be fine if he makes remakes that are his "true vision." I might even see them for comical effect, just so long as the actual Original Unaltered Trilogy sits proudly on my shelf.

He's been stalking me and quoting my posts for a few days. It's probably best to ignore him, as it's clear he hasn't made an effort to understand a very simple point demonstrated by Lucas putting prequel content in the originals, focusing the movie names on "episode #" rather than main title, etc.

I could very well ask this guy to prove that George Lucas only wants people to accept the prequels as part of the saga instead of liking them as much as the originals. Could he prove it? Nope. Hopefully this poster stops spamming the thread with his redundant, illogical statements and petty squabbling over semantics.

I'm starting to wonder with all these changes to the OT, is Spaceballs spoofing the OT or the OT spoofing Spaceballs?

:)
