That's why I never understood the outrage of hate on folks like Rebecca Black or the Jonas Brothers or (insert group or artist that markets themselves to 13 year olds here).

I hear what you are saying and it's a very good point. I guess I complain because I think an entire generation is getting it wrong and focusing on the wrong kind of music. It might be first generation where parents don't need to worry about what kind of music there kids is listening to because it's not Marilyn Manson or Elvis, it's Disney and Nickelodeon boy bands. They are going to miss out on real, meaningful music.
