I'm very skeptical of the idea that any boycott will send a meaningful message to Lucas, as the number of people who will buy the blurays is just too big.

I suggest a new strategy: Rather than focusing on "Don't buy the Blu-Rays because the changes suck", focus on "Wait to buy the eventual Original, unchanged release".

Hopefully has just as much of an impact, revenue-wise (however small that may be)
Focuses on a positive "Wait to buy" rather than a negative "Don't buy!"
Sets up the expectation of that as of yet unpromised release.
