I don't remember reading it but it seems I do have that issue of Star Wars Tales so maybe I remembered it subconsciously.

The whole scene with the emperor/Luke/Vader was very strong as it was BECAUSE Vader was silent.  Just the way he was standing there looking at what was happening was extremely powerful - there was more expression in his silent sadness than by adding juvenile dialogue.  George simply doesn't understand the less-is-more concept; he believes that more is always better. Notice that he has never removed anything from his movies, he always adds more and more doo-dads.

Well just watched ESB. No changes that i could spot other than the Wampa arm. Same old crappy 2004 colouring with the blown out detail in the bright areas in Cloud city.  They haven't touched one lightsabre by the looks of things although i would have to run it side by side with the 2004 version to confirm it, but i'm 99% sure that this is the case. Same dull cores and pink lightsabres. The audio is the same as 2004. the lightsabre sound is still there as Luke exits the cave, yet the lightsabre is still activated.

So far it seems that there has been a lot of Bullshit coming from Lucasfilm about the work done on these blu-rays

I'm going to leave Jedi until later on. need some sleep now as it's 5:20am here now. This is the film i am most dreading watching after the few changes noted so far.

Adywan, can you let us know if the humdinger was fixed? That is after you've slept.

I'm looking forward to your appraisal of ROTJ. And it is very interesting you said the audio for ESB is the same as 2004. I'm wondering if Matt Wood is even in there.

But like you said there's a lot of bullshit coming from the PR department about this release. They changed two lightsaber shots and suddenly everyones declaring the lightsabers are fixed.

I haven't gone over the audio with a fine tooth comb, but from what i could hear it sounded about the same as 2004. There might have been one part when it sounded like different background sounds, but i would need to check with the 2004 5.1 first.  And yes, the humdinger is fixed as well as the blue glow around the death star explosion, but that looks almost black & white now. All the colour is gone from it.

you can still see the garbage mattes, especially during the asteroid chase.

Its interesting that only the wicket/willow ewok got the eye treatment and not in all shots(even close ups) Some look good and some others dont.

I didnt notice any jabba's new facial movement

When vader goes to inform palpatine about his son the overall brightness seem to reveal a brighten area that added to focus palpatine's face.

The noooo scene seems to be in the movie at the end...

The slugs got a nice treatment i can say

All the common mistakes are still there.

It's a glitch to a single frame a member here canohumdinger found in the DVD and HD Broadcast of ANH that went unnoticed for 7 years until it was found recently. There's countless posts on it here. And:

A month out from release date anything is fair game to leak, pretty much once it rolls off the production line.
