I heard about that guy...what a nutbag. As for the homosexuality thing, I don't hate gays, but I do disagree with their lifestyle choice. Some would think that's pretty much the same thing, but I find them two separate stances (though some use the disagreement with lifestyle as a stepping board to hatred).

Now, Ric...I think you're making a broad generality about hating the Republican Party in general. I'll admit, I'm a registered Republican, but I can say that I hate the way the Republican Party has become. I'm fed up with it, but I feel that running away from it and denying my association with it just because of somebody like George W. Bush isn't worth it. I'm a moderate Republican; I lean conservative on some things, liberal on others. Sometimes, I stay towards the center. I frown upon ultra-conservative Republicans just as much as I do ultra-liberal Democrats. I've been frustrated during my first year of college life, because everyone views it hip to be one or the other, and I hate that. I am against the war, incidentally, and have been longer than John Kerry has . And, as you can tell by my signature, I'm a Nader supporter.

Sorry for the political rant, though I don't feel it was really radical or anything. I just wanted to make you realize that not everyone in the Republican Party thinks alike (though you probably already knew that).

I might as well contribute something (er, someone) I dislike while I'm here, and this ties into the whole 'Republicans have been given a bad name' spiel: Pat Robertson. I'm a Christian, and I can't stand the guy. He's such a hypocrite, and has way too much political sway for a religious leader.
