...and what could be the beginning of the PINK saber debate.

Would enjoy seeing it, but I've been banned.  Interesting, because I've never even visited the site before!

Hold the phone, they have supposed blu-ray clips and wicket digitally blinks in the JEDI sample. Is this for real?

Egad! Were Wicket's eyes always that freaking creepy sans fakey blink?  The stills do not quite convey the horror of the video clip. I'll be seeing him in my nightmares tonight...

So they fixed all the sabres then did they? So how come the Luke's bloody sabre aboard the falcon is still green?

They have had 7 years to get this damn release right this time and it seems like they have done NOTHING to the colour timing at all. All we are going to get is the same crap as 2004 with a higher resolution and some changes.  So much for all those bloody reviews saying that the colours look great. Just shows that most of these reviewers know nothing about how crap the colouring was in 2004

If these leaks are authentic, and now I'm 99.9% convinced they are, it's hilarious. Seven years and no improvement in the colors.

I've been saying all along that reviewers would gush over the discs despite the problems they'll have, and advance stories will be overwhelmingly positive to build up hype. That's how it works, folks.

All I can hope for is that these images and videos spread around enough to generate enough buzz and create a PR issue for Lucasfilm, not that it will matter to them.

For shame...

This has probably been asked before but I have to know.  How much better are the blus than Wookiegroomers 1080p releases, if at all?

If MF.com pictures are to believed, then R2 is still black in the death star trench run. And if thats the case, then there is no hope for these being the perfect movies that George Lucas intends us to see.

Changed Ewok eyes???  So LFL is taking previously unanimated facial features and making them digitally animated.  Sounds pretty similar to a certain famous fan edit.

Man, is Lucasfilm a step behind or what?

These blu-ray rips are legit. i have just found the first alteration done to ROTJ. They have redone the Ewoks eyes. They have also added blinks.

Please tell me you are joking.  lucas further runing another directors film, one who is dead and cannot defend his movie.

I am so fed up with Lucash and his yes men allowing this travesty.

As one of the few fans who actually liked 1983's ROTJ i am incensed with these changes, i suppose adding Hayden was just the beginning of the end for this film.

Skyjedi, i really wish i was joking. They haven't even fixed the white laser blast coming from the training droid aboard the falcon that only became an error thanks to the 2004 versions. i mean Lukes saber is still green, yet they can add eyes to an ewok. And by the looks of it all the lucasfilm talk about fixing all the sabre cores is bull also. Look at this screencap from the blu-ray rips; Luke sabre has a pink core.

Adywan, I've seen several versions of Jedi (Blu-ray/laserdisc) where you can see the actors eyes through the Ewok eye lenses and I think the Blu-rays are showing this in much greater detail than before. It'll be the same with Vader from the original Star Wars where there were several times you could see Prowse's face behind Vader's darkened red eye lenses in the Blockade Runner and the Darth Star War Room scenes.

No, they have definitely changed his eyes. You can see it so clearly in the sample clip. There isn't much more detail than what we already have in the HDTV rips so it would be impossible to suddenly see the actors eyes. But you will see what i mean in this shot. those aren't actors eyes behind any lenses: (click on image to view full size)

Blimey! That grab really was different. I'm not sure what to think about this change. There were at least three or four instances in Jedi where you could see Ewok actors eye so can we assume they've been changed too? Where will it end?

Laser eye surgery on Endor must be pretty cheap! LOL!

Just posted this over at blu-ray.com to show that the sabers are still green in ANH.

And then this to show that the sabres were blue in the 1997 version

And they are still some that are saying that it was always green and that the 1997 shot isn't even blue. lol. And even tried to be a smart ass by saying it isn't green its more aqua.lol.  if you showed some of these idiots a black screen they would swear it is white just to argue against you.

Notice how there are no confirmation screen caps, leaving speculation til you get it. I still think they are dvd rips upscaled or hdtv toyed with.

Wanna post my 2 cents:

It is no surprise to me that the product quality of the OT blu rays sucks! Everything in the last months indicated that Lucasfilm went the cheap way.

CHD-Leaked video samples and screenshots show:

2004 fucked up colors - again!
Green lightsaber for Luke @ Ep4 - again!
Pink lightsaber for Vader - again!
More unnecessary cgi add ons - again!

Three phases of quality control? Wow - I am really impressed! -sarcastic-

Wait, now we're angry that they are making more changes?   Boy, I can't keep up with what is an acceptable change and what isn't.

If you rerelease a product it would be wise to FIRST undo the issues you have introduced by mistake in the last release (2004):

) ep4 - music in surround channels flipped
) ep4 - fanfare missing
) trilogy - audio mix was generally called weak (compared to 70mm)
) trilogy - crushed black issue
) trilogy - f*cked up colors
) trilogy - wrong lightsaber colors
...

and AFTER that you can start making changes to your product!

I just hope people don't buy this without checking out reviews first. Bad sell numbers increase the chances for an improved re-release. In the end we all want an A/V quality release.

My thoughts exactly. Actually, I'm fine with that change, but if they've wasted so much effort on that, why not fix the damn lightsabers? How is George fine with them looking like that?

you see, this is the thing. i really don't care any more what changes he makes to these films as long as, before making any more changes, they at least get the basis of the films correct first; the colours and other issues created by the shoddy 2004 versions. So what happened to this "3 stages of quality control" they have been harping on about in the interviews? But they have already started with the same old crap about the colours and blaming it on people monitors/ TVs not calibrated correctly.  If this is the case then how can the colours still looks screwed up on correctly calibrated monitors then? Or does Lucasfilm have magical monitors that makes a screwed up movie look perfect? Its not as if these guys haven't got reference prints etc to get the colours right at least.

I've still not gotten over how ANH Jabba still doesn't look anything like ROTJ Jabba or the fact that he has YELLOW EYES.

So did they only do this to Wicket's eyes or are all the ewoks sporting new peepers?

Not only that, but the "fixed lightsabers" was their flagship when it comes to fixes for the Blu-rays.

I'm reallly hoping this is an unfinished version.
