This is not a suprise at all, really, but I just finished watching all three of the movies on the anamorphic DVDs, and I don't think I can ever watch Star Wars in fullscreen ever again. For years, I've had no choice, but the experience is so much richer in widescreen, obviously. I can already hear my pan and scan VHS tapes moaning sadly on the shelf.
