Ironically, I partially share this sentiment with those Fundies.
Don't worry about that Fundie, by the way - they usually claim that all atheists and doubters are children of Satan, so that was a pretty mild one in comparison.
I simply think that a lot of people who claim to be agnostics, may actually not realize how close their views are to weak atheism.
There seems to be this common misconception that atheism is "there is no God; full-stop" - so expressing uncertainty is called agnisticism.
Truth is, as soon as you concede that there is no reason to believe in any Gods, and no religion is more valid than the hundreds of others, and that their claims may only be true on a speculative basis... you've bridged the gap to atheism.
If you consider theistic viewpoints more plausible or relevant than that, then I guess you're agnostic...
