It doesn't look like he left on bad terms at all. It looks like the last time he was here, he was asking for someone to upload PaulisDead's Vintage Edit (which he now admits over at HTF). He says the "tone" here has changed since the Blu-Rays were announced.

Really? I find that very hard to believe. The tone here hasn't changed since I started posting in '06. He got what he came here for so now he's free to insult the OT members on another site.

Is it confirmed that that was his last post since he logged on last in 2009 and that post was from 2007? Furthermore, I think we, as a community, are non-biasedly trying to predict how the Blu-Ray will be from promotion material.

I've been reading for quite a few years now and the tone hasn't change; if anything it's more light hearted nowadays... with the talents and pictures of Frink, Ziggy, greenpenguino, Ric Ollie, and numerous others...

Am I really so popular that I am ranked amongst the likes the Frink and greenie? I'm honored.

Although, I don't have a compression glitch named after me yet...

I would agree.  We accepted that we're not going to get the original films and have moved on to discussing the best way to make our own, as well as the preservation of the true history of the film (not the constantly changing Lucas version).

Along the way we're at times more than vocal about Lucas' lying, his business practices, his ego, and his shortcomings.  TFNers, BRers and FBers don't care for that but that's not our problem.  We're not criticizing him unfairly or untruthfully. Our tone is the same as it's always been - we want three films that he won't release, so we discuss the situation.

Part of that situation includes discussing what Lucas chooses to release in  place of the original theatrical versions, which has much more often than not, been sub-standard and explained with lies.  As Frink mentioned earlier, if Lucas claimed a release was exactly the way he wanted it and that the added CGI scenes & color changes were creative decisions, then why are those "creative decisions" being corrected - yet again?  Criticizing Lucas' ever-changing Original Vision is valid.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
