Mmmmm, dystopian onion rings. Wow, that is amazing! Two grand in gift cards from a place that serves beer.
Just checked my $20 card, its good on all "food, beverages, and gratuity".

They usually exclude alcohol on gift cards for legal purposes, but here's hoping they didn't!

You should have seen the manager's face when the newest restaurant in the chain had both the grand prize winner and one of the menu quotes from the same family. Apparently she wants us in the paper.

So when I promised that I would buy beer for anyone who comes to visit me, apparently I wasn't kidding. I'll even buy food. ;-)

Today I picked up some awesome stuff for dirt cheap.

 The 3rd Birthday (free)

 Wipeout Pure (free)

 8GB Memory Stick (free)

 Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The set that comes with the film cell and   screenplay. ($5)

 Help by The Beatles ($5)

 Lennon Legend ($5)

 Let it Be... Naked ($5)

Sadly, there were some problems. The CD booklets all had water damage, and one of them is so bad it's like a piece of cardboard. :-(

The CD's themselves are fine. I will post a video of the cardboard-like booklet. It's pretty bad.

...I can't help but wonder why this thread was created, when in reality this is exactly what virtually every other thread in the off topic forum turns into.

Hard to say, my darthly named friend.  I would venture the opinion that since this thread was created before most of the other threads you refer to... this thread is a shining beacon of what other threads can aspire to.  Forthwith.

Seriously.  Most of the off-topic threads get a little silly but tend to stay at least marginally on-track.  Except when twooffour gets involved - and we have scientific proof in another thread that he's the one to blame, not everyone else.
