Hey Bossk, the Phillies are going to play the other team in your city on tuesday for the first time since the 1915 world series (I think), not counting exibiition games of course. any thoughts? I have always wondered what it was like to have two teams in your city (in the same sport). Philly once had had two baseball teams(The A's) but that was way before my time.

It's kinda cool to have two teams to choose from especially since Cubs games are so damned expensive to go to. Sox games are much cheaper. However, the thing I don't like is the polarization of people that results from having two teams. I'd rather see unified support for one team. If you want more baseball than just one team, go see the minor league teams in the area. We've got a couple of good ones (Kane County Cougars who are single A for the A's and the Schaumburg Flyers but I have no idea who they are minor league for). The Cougars actually play four miles from where I live. A couple years ago, the Cougars were minor league for the Marlins. There was a big billboard outside Elfstrom Stadium where the Cougars play after last year's World Series that had a bunch of the Marlins on it including Pierre and a few others saying "They All Got Their Start Here." Pretty cool even though that same bunch beat our home pro team in the NLCS.
