The only place i have seen any of the crawls online and in low res is on youtube, wonder if they are still there. But obviously useless for the purpose you suggest.

I don't have the german laserdiscs or a pal player, high end pc, video capture rig, or DVD recorder with HDD so i cannot help unfortunately.

As far as i know there never was an HD broadcast of the 1997 in english or german at all.

All we have on the net is the g'kar and i don't even think that is the original German crawl, i am not absolutely sure but i think someone once said it was recreated in 1997.

So the only source for the real German original crawls is the pan and scan german vhs and laserdisc, or were they also on the leterbox silver screen release?

I mean outside of a 16mm print turning up with the old crawls and a willing person to Telecine them, which is probably zero.
