That's very true. If you see good actors, acting poorly it's usually the director's fault. Not that Neeson or McGregor are great actors, but they've certainly been in better movies.
I guess I think those two did well because they played "Jedi" better than I imagine other actors would. Honestly who would do a better job? It's strange to think of big name actors playing that kind of role and actors like Ben Affleck would be beyond horrible.
