I was out of town for a week, so I was unable to really have a good look at the blu discs until last nite. They look great, and I love the menus (and the music choices for the menus!) The multiple soundtracks are fantastic.
I did notice something odd in ESB, however, and it may or may not be something d_j will want to address if he decides to upload them at some point. Anybody who has the blu discs, please have a look and tell me if you see the same thing.....
The first thing I noticed in ESB was that it almost looks like there's a white drop shadow around the yellow letters in the scroll. The rest of the film seems fine, until the medical frigate scene. Check out Luke's face- the color of his skin bleeds off the edges of his face. It almost looks like a color newspaper pic that has one color out of registration. There's also some odd bluish outlining to the closeup of his hand, the side of Leia's face, and the collar of Lando's shirt. I checked V3 and I don't see the same anomalies there, so it must have been something that was introduced afterwards. I also noticed the same sort of 'outlining' on the faces of Imperial officers in a previous scene where Vader is talking to them on the star destroyer (the scene where they're standing near the window), but it's not quite as obvious there.
Again- have a look and tell me if you see it too. It's not a big deal- I just thought d_j might want to have a look at it if he wants to do anything with it in the future. It is odd that it doesn't *seem* to affect the rest of the film, but I may have missed it if it does.
