I don't see why not! As long as the CD is from the same recording as the one used in the movie. If that's the case then even if, for some reason, the timing doesn't match perfectly, you should be able to manipulated it slightly (squash/stretch/trim etc) to fit. You could also try de-emphasizing everything but the choir so there's less chance of an echo or volume boost on the common elements.

I think its definitely worth a try! If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Oh, man, but if it does...
