Had enough of David Lynch's industrial noises, non sequitur laden reversed dialogue and his transcendental meditational plotless, chapter breakless pretension?

Not forgiven him yet for Dune or for not attempting a Director's Cut when he has been offered the opportunity?

Blame him for ruining Star Wars by his suggestion to Lucas that he direct ROTJ?

Not me.

But if you want to vent, vent here and feel my Wrath (joke).

"Lynch Lynch"?  Is that like "Jar Jar"?

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

I hated Mulholland Drive, thought Blue Velvet was overblown for what it was and generally disliked the others of his that I have seen.

EDIT: I noticed Lost Highway in my pile of LDs someone gave me so looks like I might post in here again...

I loved Wild At Heart, definitely David Lynch's best movie.I watched Mullholland Drive a few months ago and i still don't know what it was about.

With most of Lynch's work I don't think there isn't a definitive meaning to the whole piece.

I personally took it as study on identity, both how an individual sees their self and how others see them.

The first section of the film has two female characters acting out one point of view, then after the song they swap roles.

My take is the first section is an in universe delusion with each character playing out a projection of  the other character's true role and the second is the in universe reality with the characters playing their true non-idealised self.

But Lynch wants us to make our own minds up.

With entertainment, I'm sometimes of the opinion that it's better to be interesting than good.

I think the "Twin Peaks" show was an absolute hoot, equal parts fun/quirky and straight up bizarre.

I even think "Dune" is sometimes unfairly maligned.

When I watched "Lost Highway" I was left with a series of feelings, ideas, and impressions about the story, even if from a narrative standpoint I didn't 'understand' it. I enjoyed the ride.

"Mulhullond Drive" on the other hand just left me confused and a little annoyed. When the old-people/imps crawls across the ground in fast motion I came to the conclusion that it wasn't a case of possible interpretations, it was a case of the artist just being wierd.

The only thing i found wrong about dune other than it being like  a bad acid trip movie was the casting, the guy from twin peaks as paul, and sting really, lol.

It is kind of funny having pre Captain Picard Patrick Stewart in it though.

Its not a bad movie nor is it a good movie, its sort of a strange expensive bloated experiment like most of that executive producers   films like king kong the 70's remake and the bad 80's flash gordon.

Dino made huge expensive flops.  Which were at least colorful and sometimes entertaining but nowise good movies in my honest opinion.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

I love the bad 80's Flash Gordon with the guys from Doctor Who, Jason King, Fiddler On The Roof, Rocky Horror and Judge Dredd in it.
