LFL were so anal about the french dubbing that, in the PT, they changed back to normal some characters names that were different from the old dubs made for the OT.

You could say it's a good thing that C-3PO is now really called C-3PO and not Z-6PO in the PT, but in france we knew 3PO as 6PO (sounds better than 3PO in french). So you end with two trilogy of movies with some characters that are named differentely. Now that's really dumb. Specialy for the droids. I'm sure some people did not realize immediately that 3PO was... 6PO

And now I fear new french dubs for the OT to make everything in line with the PT and removed from our french memory some characters names that we were used to.

Strangely, in the PT, Darth Vader is still called Dark Vador, and all the Darth are "Dark". I guess LFL somehow thought that "Vador" is a better known name in france than 6PO, so they changed 6PO and not Vador in the PT.

Damn, their logic is complicated. I need cigarette.
