I can understand. I think we all have a tendency at times to focus on the negative rather than look at the good (I am definitely guilty of that
). With the prequels, it's suddenly cool for people to poke fun at Star Wars (ex. Jar-Jar Binks). I think the mainstream public is alienated when Star War fans argue over the prequels, and think 'This is stupid, I don't want to be around "those sorts."' It would be nice if we could all acknowledge the reasons we're all fans (those reasons go beyond the films themselves) and enjoy talking about those reasons, rather than tearing each other down with endless arguments that can neither be won nor lost.
