I like it...  I'm rotoscoping new lightsabers at the moment for those interested.... It's a LOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG process.... I don't have anything to show... But I can show you a couple of test shots you may or may not have seen if you're curious about some of my lightsaber work.

I've posted these in the past on other threads I believe. The first visualizes an idea that has been tossed around quite a bit... The Rogue Jedi Dooku. I took my stab at a green saber.... Again, this was just a test, but I've more or less gotten rid of the rogue jedi idea as I could never find a significant payoff. However, I'm still toying with the idea of changing his saber color.

The second clip is an early test on my Redemption edit. Check the date, very old, but at about 3:20 you can see where my artsy side came out... Again, another idea that has been done away with, but still fun to watch. Also, that opening sequence/history lesson is no more....

Oh yeah they are. It was one of those, "Let's see what this looks like." kinda deals.... But yeah, it was too much.

The new effects will be subtle. I'm currently re-working the ANH lightsaber battle.

I know this thread seems dead, but I promise I'm working very hard on this project. Lightsabers still taking the most time. But I want it to be the best I can make it so I'm taking my time. Also, I've begun plotting for episode 2.... But I'll talk more about that later.

No problem. Just didn't want people thinking the ship has sunk. It's very much above water. =)

YES! Makes him more ambiguous and lets us finally see a white one.

Nice!  Also a nice throwback to the days of typical, stereotypical-sci-fi white "laser swords" (but without looking cheesy).  I like it!

I'm loving the Ultra White Ultrabrightness too.

Exactly what I was going for. It's really the best way to play that idea. He's not quite rogue, but he doesn't mind confusing you with his strange white saber. =)

Yeah, I wasn't sure. But I thought it was interesting for sure.

You'll will be glad to know that I also plan to rotoscope Dooku's teeth to make them bright white like his new blade. ;)

Careful around the red edges because you lose color from the background.

I hope you can come up with a new saber ignition saber because the good/evil ones cant match with a white one i assume..

It doesn't mean anything because you've never seen it before. The point was to create ambiguity. If there are question marks, then I've succeeded.

What do you mean they can't match? Just don't understand what you mean there.
