Hahaha! Anyway, just to be on the safe side, I'll say I didn't really mean it.

I guess I still haven't grown up in that sense. When I think of the word "woman" I tend to think of the older less attractive variety. So, being called a "girl" by me could be considered a compliment, if you want to take it that way.

(Sidenote: I actually don't mind being called a girl instead of Woman. Just wanted to make post.)

I feel like the silly little charming zero to hero story Chuck started out as has been lost through some really convoluted plot points intended to keep the show interesting. Don't get me wrong, I kind of like some of the direction they took the show during season three for the most part, but the whole spying practically being the family business thing is a bit much. His dad making the intersect was already a bit of an eye roller, but now the whole mom thing is pretty groan worthy.
Kind of killed the whole unlikely loser becoming a spy direction the show started with, at this point it feels like it would have been far less likely for him never to have become a spy. College room mate, ex-girlfriend, dad, mom; anyone left in the guy's past that wasn't once involved in espionage? I am just waiting for Ellie and Morgan to become intersects themselves.
I largely feel that in spite of a few story flaws. That Chuck is really entertaining and, funny. With great performances and, chemistry amongst Chuck and, Sarah. It makes me lenient towards the story in due part to the rest of the show being supremely awesome in so many ways. So while I agree with you that the story does start to become a tad convoluted. I still think of Chuck as a top show for being so well done in many of it's other aspects.
(Also, yes I was holding off of immediately replying to you until I thought about what you said for a bit. Plus, I was having trouble sleeping too...)

I definitely agree. I've really been enjoying it, and it is not that often that I can let myself enjoy a show, movie, or book without feeling the need to tear it apart (It is really annoying, apparently. My girlfriend yelled at me a couple of months ago because I was pointing out how bad the writing was in a particular episode of the TV show Bones).
So even though I pointed out flaws in it here, the fact that I have been able to really enjoy it and only pick out flaws as I reflect back on it at the end of a season, shows how much I've enjoyed it.
Plus, I was having trouble sleeping too...)
Aww, that sucks.
Yay! I'm glad you're enjoying it! I've actually become more critical too. Probably because of stuff like RedLetterMedia and, sfdebris. Though I can most times still suspend my disbelief... about Bones though I never watched it...

I'm not a huge Chuck fan but I've see this casting news that might interest you :

Spoiler Alert :
The Chuck panel at San Diego Comic-Con Friday made a big announcement. Star Wars legend Mark Hamill has been cast as the first villain of Season 5. He’ll appear in the season premiere on Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m.
BTW this guy is old but still awesome.

Thanks?
I think I might start watching Chuck now....
I think Chuck has made many of the same mistakes that Lost made, in "revealing" the "big picture". But I don't really care so much in the case of Chuck... it's not that I don't like Chuck because I like it quite a bit. It's just that the show has always been more about its texture to me, than its substance.
Whereas I think the substance of Lost was more important to me.
So, yes... lots of groan worthy and convoluted contradictory elements on Chuck... but it's just fun so I just go with it.
And it has Timothy Dalton in season 4.
IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!
"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005
"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
Cock-Knocker is the villian in season five!?
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.
...or maybe the Trickster?!
I think I just passed them filming Chuck at Zuma Beach...

So, Chuck'll return on the 28th. Was going to be the 21st but, they wanted to delay it when they found out the theme of the upcoming episode better suited the 28th... I just didn't want to post about the delay earlier because, it's depressing that we have to wait another week for new chuck...

I can't wait to see Subway's newest subs. And Yvonne Strahovski of course.
