Oh and another film I saw when I was away was Tree Of Life (2011) and I can't see what the fuss is all about.
It's a perfectly watchable film, with a few things to say that doesn't go very fast.
The performances from the child actors are remarkable and the other actors pull their weight, even Brad Pitt who I rarely can stand.
Some of the effects sequences are astonishing, the photography is beautiful and that's it really.
Reading some reviews you'd think it was either the most profound experience in the history of eyeballs or a pile of pretension higher than the Alps.
If slow films with people whispering is not your bag watch something else but if you sit through a reading of The Wasteland without foaming at the mouth you will probably coming out of the theatre with a few thoughts you probably already have had shuffled further to the front of your mind for a couple of days.
Three and a half out of focus flame things out of five.
