The nightmare of seeing so many games and DVDs scratched to shreds (obviously purchased at some cost going by the price labels which were never removed) freely mingling with parts of long abandoned toys and abused books, covered in dust and crumbs and abandoned boxes has driven me to pledge never to buy him anything like that ever again.
