Fixed.

Wait... I actually kind of like what you did there... I had completely forgotten about that thread. Good memories, now I am thinking about Star Wars Chess. Mmmmm, Star Wars Chess...

The 'making you link to another page to see it'? The 'not posting it twice in two different threads'? Or something else?

I enjoy receiving praise, but I like to know what it's for.

Bioshock: Rapture is in my hands, and I am about to start reading.

So far it seems like reviews are fairly positive. I'm excited.

I've been nursing a TF2 addiction, so I jump in here and what do I see?

More Bioshock bullshit.

I'm addicted to Borderlands. It's very good, although not quite great.

Still loving Morrowind almost a decade later; the lore, the atmosphere, the mods - I love it.

I agree about Borderlands, it falls short of greatness, but is extremely good for all its flaws and repetitiveness. If you play with friends it is some of the most fun you can have co-oping or split-screening.

Not sure where Xhonzi is, but to continue with more Bioshock BS: I am really enjoying Rapture so far. Haven't been able to read as much as I'd like since I got it, only about 1/4th of the way through.

I actually didn't care for Borderlands the first time I played it. Then, several months later, my girlfriend bought it and we started playing co-op. The fun factor increased ten-fold after that.

I agree with that too. I actually never really played it alone, but I can't imagine it being much fun. It is the shared experience that made the game for me.

I was actually just dropping in to see if you had gotten it yet.  I'm glad you're digging it.  Whenever I get around to reading it- I will let you know how I find it.

I quite enjoy it co-op.  I constantly hear how it's not as fun in SP, but I don't know why that would be.  The fun I have in co-op seems like it would translate to SP well... but I have never really tried to figure it out.

Well, I'm off to start my binge on FallOut 3.  Maybe.

Although I really wanted to have a copy of Castlevania Lords of Shadow for this weekend.  :/

It is just kind of a monotonous, repetitive game. In fact, it really isn't that good of a game on its own, IMHO, it is the sheer amount of stuff you can do co-op that makes it fun.

Running around killing or running from endless hoards of bad guys while heading to complete an objective would get really old. Or running around looking at your feet trying to collecting endless amounts of brains or other stupid hard to find trinkets. My fondest memories of the game are the conversations and laughs (and fights) I had with my companions as we stayed up until 3 a.m. (or once 9 a.m.) playing.

NO, WONG.

No, maybes, Xhonzi! No, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow! That can wait. This is your time to tackle the experience that is Fallout 3. It is my second favorite game I've played on the Xbox, next to Bioshock. I might have to put you on ignore if you haven't found yourself at least significantly immersed in that game by the time your binge is over.

I tried Borderlands SP and it was really boring. I'm sure it would have been better MP.

Speaking of MP, tried AC:Bro MP yesterday. Nothing like people who haven't stopped playing it having abilities to make it impossible to stop killing you even when you like the computer control your movements like an NPC.

Do not want.

Insert pic of xhonzi's head hung in shame.

Okay, okay... I get it.  I'll get to it.  You know, when I get home.

Yeah, I had to look for people that were more my level to have any fun.  And I just had to accept that I would have a low KD ratio when playing with some old timers.  You'll have to look back in this thread for the rest of my thoughts.  I'd try to reproduce them here, but it would be lies.

Other than that, how do you like Brotherhood so far?

I think its great. Definitely the best so far. I'm not far into the plot, but the gameplay seems more refined.

What's with the segway in your quote of my post?

Borderlands - Game of the Year Edition is very fucking great game. Playing on PC.

You mentioned pirating it before, did you ever get around to buying it? It is dirt cheap these days, and as you've seen for yourself, well worth the money.

I think ACB's plot ended up being the easiest to follow of the three.  I never could keep track of all of the people I was killing before.  I just sort of stabbed them in the necks and got on with my day.
