Star Wars Trivia — Page 9

It's a TV show. It had a short run (12 episodes) due to a nervous breakdown by the star. What's funny about it? Well, John Cleese is the writer and star of the show...Niles from "Frasier" and Dick from "Third Rock From The Sun" are both heavily inspired by this character. Rent the DVD collection. It's awesome.

As for my question:

What planet did Senator Mon Mothma represent before breaking away from the Imperial senate to lead the Alliance?

Damn...I thought that would have been a harder one. Ah well...

Your turn.

It's not. But so is alot of the stuff asked (Nein Nunb's homeworld, for example). Back story on a character from the films is fair game, as it would seem.
Author
Time
It wasn't --but neither were the names of Alaya Secura, Mon Mothma, Oola, Bossk, ect.

But those are all official, and not made up by the EU. I suppose anything not created specifically by the EU (Like Mara Jade, Thrawn, ect)
is fair game.

But EU stuff is on the Starwars Website, so I don't understand why it isn't fair game.

As for my question..

Hmm..

Q.This pertains to an earlier question that was never answered completely correctly: A planet mentioned in the movies we overlooked earlier. Where did Dexter Jetster tell Kenobi he recognized the dart Jango usued to assassinate the Changling? He said he was prospecting there.

"Where did Dexter Jetster tell Kenobi he recognized the dart Jango usued to assassinate the Changling?"

Well, technically, the place that he told Kenobi that was in his own cafe...

Sorry, just being a smartass... I would have to look at the DVD to find the real answer, and I can't be bothered right now...

Buck up, little camper; we'll tackle that slope... TOGETHER. Name the film.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

How many new ships (ships we haven't seen previously) do we see in ROTJ and what are they?
Author

Okay, that sounds like a challenge; I haven't watched it for a while but I will try to do it by memory: Super Star destroyers; Imperial Shuttle; B-wings; TIE Interceptor.

That's all the ones I can think of for now that I am reasonably sure of; there were probably some new Rebel capital ships too but without watching ESB again I couldn't be sure they weren't in that movie first. Am I close at all?

Imperial Shuttle, A -wing, B -wing, Tie Interceptor, Mon Calimari cruiser (forgot what they are called) and a handfull of Rebel cruisers.

As everyone's already said, it's not. I've learned a wealth of minute Star Wars details from the Star Wars CCG. Each card has lore text, including bits on the most unimportant characters. Some Imperial officer, it seems, hasn't had a date in years. Hmmmm...not sure if that's good to know or not.

Ya, I've learned a bunch from the CCG too. For example, the guy that is referred to as Red Leader (from ANH) in the movie credits and even in the starwars.com Data Bank, has been given a name. I can't remember what it right now, and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm sure someone will post it shortly...

I guess you got it right...or at least came the closest.

Altho, the Imperial Shuttle you refer to (the Lamba-class shuttle) is also in Empire and there are no other new Rebel cruisers seen (except the Mon Calamari one)

But you got the rest right. There are 4 new types of ships. A-wings, B-wings, TIE-Interceptors, and Mon Calamari Starcruisers.

You're question HotRod.

The Shuttle wasn't in the original version, just the SE... Captain Needar flew from hi SD in a shuttle to see Vader, but it just looks like a little dot...

meh...you're probably right...to save time in double checking my answer, I just went to the starwars.com Databank, and checked which ships were only in the ROTJ. According to it, the Lamba shuttle was in both. And I watched the SE of ESB the other day, I assumed it right. Not that I'm complaining. The Lamba is my favorite ship in the Star Wars universe, so the more of it, the better.
