actually bossk they needed the extra time cus they needed to work the new footage into the movie. that is really alot of work, all the sound editiong and music editing, and picture editing. they need to shoot some new stuff too.

They're not shooting new footage. How could they with PJ working on King Kong now? Or has that not started yet?

theey shot new footage for all of the EE's didnt you know that. and i don't think king kong has started production yet.

They did not shoot new footage for all the EEs. They shot pick-ups for each of the films as it was nearing release, and some footage may have been shot for the EEs @ this time, but there was not time set apart to shoot new footage specifically for the EEs.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.

they specifically say in the documentaries that they shot footage just for the EE's and that is why they cam out later in the year.

No, they shot the footage while making the original cuts of the films and just edited out the footage. They are not going back and shooting all new stuff after the theatrical release. All their actors have committed to other projects. Elijah Wood even said in an interview that he finished all filming work with LOTR about three to four years ago.

What I saw of it was less than encouraging. It didn't last long @ my theatre.
