I've actually been meaning to check out wolfenstein, I might see if i can find a cheap copy.

I think some of the stores nearby are still stocking the collector's edition of Bioshock 2 so I might look into trading in Duke nukem forever and getting a copy of that, hopefully tomorrow.

I'm kinda surprised I never played B2 but since I'm really just 'waiting for November' right now [halo, elder scrolls, et al] it's probably a good time to jump in.

re: Duke Nukem, i was always going to look into it but it's a pretty sad state of a game, firstly - it's an incomplete mess bolted together into a rough narrative, secondly - it borrows and steals ideas from better games - and insults those same games [verbally] at the same time and thirdly they've made Duke Nukem into an absolute cunt of a character - you kinda want him to get his ass kicked.

Went round to a mates place during the week and we ended up firing up conflict: desert storm. Anyone remember this guy?

I always loved the 2nd one but for some reason it's not supported on 360. Took us back to playing through those games as a team.

I'd played them all except the newest one - Conflict Denied ops.

Fired it up and discovered in horror that it was a completely different style of game - a crappy shooter for two players with basic goals and a fairly non existant inventory to manage - also no weapon pickups - you keep what you have with unlimited ammo.

I was hardly surprised to learn the company [Pivotal] shut down after releasing that turd of a game.

What posessed them to throw away a great formula in favour or something so lackluster?
