Well...the Canada Post employees went on rotating strikes.
But then Canada Post itself decided that that was too convenient for people expecting mail, so they locked out the employees.
So, now there's no mail at all.
Brilliant, isn't it. ;P

You have a Canadian fiance?
Read the OP again.
Are you claiming US Post Offices can't communicate with Canadians?
U.S. POST OFFICES WON'T SEND MAIL TO CANADA DUE TO THE STRIKE.

Are you claiming US Post Offices can deliver direct to Canadian addresses?
Everytime, every single time you post anything to Canada from a new location, within the first nanosecond of posting, Canada Post analyses its surroundings, calculates a 12 dimensional data map of everything within a 1000 mile radius, and determines which outer shell would blend in best with the environment... and then it disguises itself as a your parcel still in your house.
The strikes been on for a bit. I thought it was really big news?

If by Socialism you mean postal workers exercising their democratic rights to protect their working conditions, it's a bloody pain.
Communism is much better, no workers rights there, people just work, make stuff, sell it cheap and undermine the regimes of Capitalist countries by flooding their evil markets with the sort of cheap goods you are typing on now.
Hee, hee, hee.
Just wait until their middle classes become too big to handle.
Canada Post should be resuming normal operations Monday, although people are being told to expect some delays as employees process the existing backlog.

If I were to exercise my "democratic rights" by not working...I would be without a job.
The blue elephant in the room.
Having a job is over-rated.
Now...WHEN DO I GET MY UNEMPLOYMENT CHECKS!?!?!?!?

First day of getting mail again (Tuesday), I got 6 pieces...and 2 of them were for neighbors down the street. *rolling eyes*
And you thought the strike was stupid...
Idiot[s, cuz there's no way you blame one person for no mail going out].
Found this at the post office on the bulletin board. (in back where the general public doesn't see it)

This is because you have been stealth shifted to The Peoples Republic Of China (until the middle classes become too tough to repress).
Enjoy (you have no choice).
In The People's Republic of China, country enjoys you.
