The Yakuza One of my all time favorites. A 70's classic, and a must for Mitchum fans. 5 balls out of 5 yakuza thugs killed by a katana.

Biutiful. Well done story, but wasn't really what I was expecting. Fortunately, this does not go down the road of retracing Ikiru, but is more of a real life drama/tone poem. 4 balls out of 5.

The Power Rangers movie. I watched it on Netflix instant purely for nostalgia and was pleasantly surprised. It was consistently laughably awful. It is a must watch.

You're not old enough to experience nostalgia.

I agree with this.

When I typed this I contemplated mentioning that I wasn't sure if it was in fact nostalgia but thought that it would make my mini-review not so mini.

I definitely felt something like a warm feeling that took me back to my childhood. (or my child-erhood). Especially when the line "You ooze, you lose" came up. I'm not sure how but I remembered that line and I have an awful memory.

How old does one have to be before he is allowed to experience nostalgia? :P

Man, talk about taking me back.  A weekly staple at the midnight movies -  and a perfect album to have on the charts my senior year in high school a couple of years earlier.

Thirty-seven.

...

Return of the Living Dead.  As awful and cheesy and awesome as I remembered.  8 paramedics out of 10 paramedics.

I'm sorely disappointed I don't see Captain Murphy-isms from you.

Save it for Queen Doppelpoppolus!

A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. You lived back in the time of GOOD music! Good job!

It's amazing that I didn't know what this album was about until I saw the movie.

The visuals in it are incredible. Especially the Goodbye Blue Sky scene. The animation is beautiful. They also really pulled off having hardly any dialogue!

Do you own it Anchorhead? (the movie, I mean)

BTW, anyone who is reading this post and hasn't seen The Wall, see it as soon as possible. It's incredible.

I was raised to believe Floyd sold out after Animals so The Wall isn't my style. I'm rather interested in the movie at least though, sounds like an experience.

The American - 9/10

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

I always felt The Wall was more Roger Waters featuring Pink Floyd, than group effort like past albums. It's missing Rick's ear for quality. Still a good album, but Meddle, Dark Side, and Wish You Were Here are way better and easier to listen to.

Hands down the best action film ever made. If you haven't seen it you owe it to yourself. Find a good widescreen transfer with the original Cantonese mono and be amazed.

Last night the Family and I watched my Panasonic exclusive Blu-ray 3D of Avatar, and Holy Shit was it COOL! by far the best 3DBD to date, but followed very closely by Drive Angry 3D and The Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole 3D, still need to watch the Shreks in 3D and Tangled, also have some IMAX titles in 3D.
