Finding this thread just saved me from my desire to get the PAL dvd's... I guess if I have the NTSC dvd's of the GOUT, that I have the best I can buy... I'm working on finding the best I can get.

One suggestion I have for maximizing quality when converting the NTSC 4:3 image to a 16:9 image is to over size it. Convert the 720x480 image to 1440x960 before enhancing or cropping it. I noticed that some of the finer details visible in the GOUT DVD vanished in Moth3r's enhanced version. (the lines on R2's back). I've had good luck with this when enhancing photos and a movie is just a series of photos.
