Can I make another New Thread Thread?

Absolutely.  But I can't guarantee a lot of thread requests in it, unless you make them all yourself.

O, Captain my Captain...

I propose a thread to ask those bloody Doctor Who fans what their avatars were before they all changed them. Then possibly a retitle to something like Alternate Avatars. Forum members can post avatars they use elsewhere, pics they have thought about using but they didn't want to change/couldn't be bothered and suggest or create new avatars for other members. Possible limit on picture size that will be ignored. Becomes another random pic thread?

I humbly await your decision.

Hmmm...I would skip right to Alternate Avatars.  That's a good one.

Well there's gonna be non-video related things to plug.

I suggest a "Plug yo' $hit" Thread.

Oh New Thread God, shall i starteth a new thread in the "dvd covers, disc labels, and other fan artwork" sub-forum, for my covers? Or shall i cast myself out of Valhalla forever while you heartilly laugh at me in your most humble pomp and vulgar splendor?

*all in unision* "Hail the new thread god!"

most humble pomp and vulgar splendor?

(No idea if that even means anything, it just sounded fun)

I have seen your future, and it is good.  Go forth, and spread your thread amongst the loins of the elders.

Seems like there would have been a pets thread in the past, but I don't remember one.

APPROVED.

How about ANOTHER movie thread?  I know, I know...

Movies to Look Forward To

And there will be a list of upcoming releases that everyone is looking forward to that will rotate as the movies come and go.

I thought it'd be cool although it would be somewhat redundant.  That's why I'm asking before I go and make it, oh great and powerful Frink.

My personal list so far for 2011:

  • September 9th – Contagion
  • October 14th – The Thing
  • November ?? – A Dangerous Method
  • November 4th – A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas
  • November 23rd – Hugo
  • November 23rd – The Muppets
  • December 21st – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
  • December 23rd – The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn
  • December 23rd – We Bought A Zoo
  • December 28th – War Horse
  • ?? (2011) – Knights of Badassdom

moved to new thread.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

Is this like "ask first, shoot later, but not so later that the person you asked first has the chance to answer before you shoot?"

Xhonzi stole your thunder as per usual.

Can I start two new threads?  One for Secret of NIMH and one for Lost in Space?

http://images.fanedit.org/images/FE%3C3OT/fe-ot1_signature.png

The franchises I get nerdy about are so obscure that not even most nerds know about them.

There's a thread in the General Chat section of IndyLounge called The OR Game.  I'd like to start one here.

EXAMPLE:

X said:

Star Wars:

Original Theatrical or Special Edition?

Y said:

Original Theatrical

Timmy to the Rescue or Return of the Jedi?

X said:

Return of the Jedi

Root Beer or Coke?

etc.

Not my cup of tea (or coffee?), but I say go for it.

No - this one would be specific to two competing choices, while the other one is a random collection of Q's and A's.

This is why you don't have a new thread thread. ;-)
