Consider me now a bit more intrigued about this movie. With this new information about the project that you have posted above, I think this film will be quite worth a full ticket price. I can't see myself missing even a fairly decent Scott film on the big screen. His visual story telling will be worth it alone for me. I think he is in a good state in his life right now, and wants to make this a great film and a money maker for his production partners. That sends good signals. He seemed motivated from the start to make this a good one, and I think it will be possibly another carrier milestone from what I know so far.
I hope the connections in this film and the original Alien are done with supreme tact, and also made to be only obscure nods to the supper hard core fans. Something clever and almost subliminal that a commonplace fan would need to see a few times to catch as a connection, but yet it is still something important to what is going on in the story. Please don't let it be just some set dressing or company logo (or seeing the Death Star being built out a window) type thing. To me, those type of continuity references are no longer clever, and have been done to death in the Alien series already. Just don't want the script and production design to play to the lower I.Q. folks in the theaters.
