It's a visual representation of the interactions of programs and data in cyberspace that was rendered largely on a computer and it looks timeless.
Yeah, that's what I meant. It's supposed to be a virtual puppet sort of representation of Cain. If they wanted it to look real, they could've just shaved Tom Noonan bald and filmed him against a black background.
