So does anyone here have a 3D set up? I am in the process of getting the gear I need for my 3D ready HDTV, have a nice Panasonic 3D Blu-ray player(and going to get Avatar 3D for FREE)a Mitsubishi 3D Starter Kit, and getting 2 more pairs of glasses, I can't wait, but LOL, I only have 3 3D movies counting the free Avatar that is coming, and they are Resident Evil Afterlife and Drive Angry.

I would really like to get one of those 42" or 47" Vizios that have recently come out.  The passive screens are pretty much superior to the active ones in my opinion.  And they're so cheap, to boot! (42" is <$700).

I just don't really have a place to put one.  Our family room entertainment centre can only hold a 27" CRT or a 32" LCD/Plasma.  We've had the entertainment centre about 8 years but have only had the 32" 720p LCD that's in it for about 2.5.  My kids have already taken a serious toll on it (with scissors) and so I really wouldn't mind replacing the whole outfit and putting a new 40-something inch on the wall.  But then we'd need some new media/equipment rack too...  It wouldn't end up costing that much, but I'll probably still save my pennies.

The real issue with that is that I don't do any "formal" watching in my family room.  We do all of the hardcore stuff in the basement with the big screen, big sound and the fancy chairs.  It might kill me to upgrade to 3D in the family room first, because I wouldn't know where to watch a movie anymore.  Upstairs on the relatively small screen in 3D, or downstairs...  :(  Darn.

However, there are some exciting projector solutions in the wings.  Not exactly plug and play, but you can set up some nice dual projector rigs with stuff that's just come out.  But it gets pricey pretty quick.  I'm waiting for some new stuff that might be cheaper to hit the street... still thinking I might do a 3D upgrade in the basement this fall.

THEN I can get a new TV in my family room.
